Scope of services
Joshua Dalton Media provides video and photography services as agreed in writing for each project. This includes the specific deliverables, timelines, formats, and intended usage outlined in a written quote, invoice, or project brief.
Any work not explicitly included in the agreed scope is considered out of scope and may incur additional fees. This includes extra filming time, additional edits beyond the included revision round, or new deliverables not originally agreed.
Quotes, pricing & payment
Quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise. A deposit may be required to secure a booking or project start date. Final delivery of completed work occurs once full payment has been received.
Invoices are payable within the timeframe stated. Late payments may result in delivery delays or additional fees. Joshua Dalton Media reserves the right to pause work if invoices remain unpaid.
Timelines & delivery
Project timelines are agreed in advance and are based on timely client communication, feedback, and asset delivery. Delays in feedback, approvals, or required materials may extend delivery timelines.
Preview or review versions may be supplied at reduced resolution or with watermarks. Final high-resolution deliverables are released once all payments are complete.
Revisions & feedback
Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds or editing time, as outlined in the project agreement. Revisions are intended for refinements, not creative direction changes.
Additional revisions beyond what is included may be billed at an hourly rate or agreed flat fee. Any additional costs will be communicated and approved before work proceeds.
Cancellations & rescheduling
Cancellations or reschedules may incur fees where preparation, travel, or production time has already been committed. Deposits are generally non-refundable once work has begun.
For event-based projects, late cancellations or same-day cancellations may result in forfeiture of the deposit. Where possible, rescheduling will be accommodated subject to availability.
Creative control
Clients engage Joshua Dalton Media for its creative style, technical expertise, and professional judgment. While client input is welcomed, final creative decisions regarding shooting style, editing, pacing, and presentation remain with the contractor.
Portfolio examples represent the style clients can expect. Acceptance of final work will not be unreasonably withheld where deliverables materially meet the agreed scope.
Copyright & usage
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, clients receive rights to use the final delivered content for its intended purpose once full payment has been made.
Joshua Dalton Media retains the right to display completed work for portfolio, website, and promotional purposes unless a prior confidentiality or embargo agreement is in place.
Raw footage
Raw footage is not included by default. Where offered, it is supplied as a structured export suitable for editing, not as unprocessed camera originals.
Storage of raw files is not guaranteed beyond a reasonable archival period unless otherwise agreed.
Travel & additional expenses
Local travel is typically included unless stated otherwise. Projects requiring extended travel, accommodation, additional crew, permits, or specialist equipment may incur extra costs.
Any significant additional expenses will be discussed and approved prior to being incurred.
Liability & limitations
Joshua Dalton Media will perform services with professional care. However, liability is limited to the value of the services provided.
No responsibility is accepted for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or business outcomes. Creative services do not guarantee specific commercial results.
Force majeure
Neither party will be held liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including illness, accidents, equipment failure, natural disasters, or government restrictions.
Where possible, projects will be rescheduled or reasonably resolved in good faith.
Full agreement
These terms provide a public summary for reference. Full contractual terms may be provided separately for specific projects and will take precedence where applicable.
