Everything you need to know about booking your Auckland wedding videographer, from turnaround times to music licensing and travel.
How do we secure our wedding date?
Your date is secured with a signed agreement and booking retainer. Once those are in place, the date is locked in exclusively for you.
How long will our highlight film be?
Base package highlight films run between 5 and 10 minutes depending on the flow of the day and what matters most. The goal is a story-driven film you'll actually rewatch.
Do you capture full ceremony and speeches?
Yes. Full ceremony and speeches edits are available as separate deliverables, and are professionally mic'd and edited for clean audio and complete coverage.
How do you handle audio?
I use professional wireless lavalier microphones, plus a separate independent recorder running as backup. Every word of the vows is captured clearly. Every speech. I have never lost audio on a wedding day, and I carry backup for every critical piece of gear.
Do you work with our photographer?
Absolutely. I coordinate closely with your photographer so coverage runs smoothly and neither of us compromises the other.
How long is turnaround?
Highlight Films are delivered within 10 weeks of the wedding. Signature Films within 6 weeks. Timelines are confirmed before the day so you know exactly what to expect.
Can we choose the music?
You're welcome to share preferences or artists you like, but copyrighted music can't be included. Final tracks are selected from licensed libraries so your film is legal to share online.
Do you travel for destination weddings?
Yes. While based locally as an Auckland wedding videographer, I can film destination weddings in Queenstown, Tauranga, Waiheke Island, and across New Zealand. Travel costs are quoted transparently upfront.
How do payments work?
Booking is split into two payments. A 50% retainer secures your date - once that and the signed agreement are in place, the date is locked in exclusively for you. The remaining 50% balance is due 7 days before your wedding.
Do your wedding video packages include drone?
Yes, both the Highlight and Signature packages include professional 4K drone footage to capture your Auckland wedding venue from above, weather and airspace regulations permitting.
What if we're awkward on camera?
Most couples say this. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, with the focus on natural moments rather than forcing performances.
Can we add extra coverage or raw footage?
Yes. Add-ons like extra edits, content creation, or a FOMO Film can be added either when booking or once your timeline is clearer.
